The first S.T.A.R. meeting of 2009 will be on Wednesday, January 28th at 6pm at the Denton Town Hall.

Agenda

The first meeting of the year will accomplish the following:

* Filling of vacant leadership positions
* Recap of Denton Christmas and Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting
* Tourism Resource Audit
* HRL Paddlefest
* Tour de Kale
* Project Implementation

Denton S.T.A.R. Steering Committee Unveils its Strategic Plan for Revitalization

Central Park NC's Small Town Area Revitalization (S.T.A.R.) project has been working in the region to revitalize the area one small town at a time. Monday, October 20th, the Town of Denton, a S.T.A.R. community, unveiled its recently adopted Strategic Plan for Revitalization to both Davidson county and the community. Denton's Strategic Plan has been in the works for about a year with technical assistance provided by Central Park NC's S.T.A.R. Coordinator, Casey Harris.
