If you like your four-wheeled vehicles big and offroad-y then the Uwharries is the place for you this weekend.

American Wheeler is holding its annual 4x4 cross race and festival this weekend. The festival portion of the event will be held at Uwharrie Stables in the evening after every race. Live music will be performed on both nights by Southbound 49 - a country and southern rock band from the Central Park region. One of the nights will feature the band Ricochet and Shenandoah will play on the other night.

Johnny Adams at the Stables wrote to tell us that festival visitors will enjoy lots of fun things to do on site including a rock crawl, mud bog, and a military-certified ATV Obstacle Course.

This looks like it will be a lot of fun. Tickets are on sale at the American Wheeler website and they have special weekend pass offers that are worth checking-out.
