Airstrip and BBQ are two things not immediately associated with one another but the combination works well for the Pik-n-Pig in Carthage.

On a nice day it is possible to sit outside and eat hickory smoked BBQ while watching people skydive out of perfectly good airplanes and land (safely) on the runway. It is loads of fun and the BBQ is incredible, so are their deserts (the Coca Cola cake is the perfect close to a meal.) According to one source, Michael Jordan is known to make an occasional appearance at the 'Pig' on his way to play golf in nearby Pinehurst.



One important note - the Pig offers ribs but only on Saturdays. You'll have to call them ( 910-947-7591) at least by mid-afternoon in order to guarantee your order of ribs. We've order ribs twice and they were spectacular both times. Enjoy.
