Wine Making Classes in Salisbury

As America rapidly warms to the thought of drinking wine more Americans are taking time to visit vineyards for tastings and seeking more information on their favorite varietals.

In the midst of the emerging wine market is the increasingly popular pastime of making wine at home. It is not uncommon to see Central Park residents trying their hand at growing grapes and now those residents have a class where they can learn to make wine for themselves.

Old Stone Winery in Salisbury, NC is offering a wine making class on May 8th from 6-9pm. The class will be taught by wine maker David Brown and is limited to the first 20 students and the fee is $45 per person (paid in advance.)

Sounds like fun to us! I recently picked-up a cookbook published in the 1960s that gave an extensive set of recipes for home wine making. The process was nothing I could figure out on my own so a class like this should be a great way to start a wine making hobby.

Those interested can contact the vineyard at 704-279-0930.
